Policies & Terms

-Gearhead Guns LLC has a zero tolerance policy for rude, abusive, or otherwise problematic or disruptive behavior towards our staff. We reserve the right to "Blacklist" individuals for any reason. An individual that is blacklisted by us is forbidden from ordering any products from our webstore, and is banned from receiving any services from us. Additionally, any evidence of threatening behavior will be forwarded to our local police department.

-Blacklisting is permanent. Once an individual is added to the blacklist, they will not be removed for any reason.

-If an individual is blacklisted and has firearms, ammunition, or other items stored with us, the individual must provide an alternate FFL for any such items to be transferred to. All fees must be paid in full prior to any transfer taking place. After 7 days, any items stored with us  that have not been transferred will be turned over and disposed to our local police department.

-Valid Government issued photo identification, is required. If your Photo ID says "Federal Limits Apply", additional information such as your Passport or Birth Certificate is required.

-We currently do not accept shipments of more than 1,000 rounds due to storage space constraints. 

-All ammunition sales are final, and non refundable.

-The buyer MUST notify Gearhead Guns LLC and receive approval prior to sending ammunition for transfer. Packages that arrive without prior notice or approval will be returned to the sender.

-All firearms sent from FFL's to Gearhead Guns LLC must include a signed paper copy of the sender's Federal Firearms License (FFL) included within the package. 

-Gearhead Guns LLC will only accept one package, and a maximum of 2,000 rounds mailed in to us from another vendor for transfer, due to storage space constraints. Packages / rounds  exceeding this number will be sent back to the vendor they were received from. Gearhead Guns LLC accepts no responsibility for any additional costs or fees that arise from returning merchandise to the vendor(s). 

Ammunition - Sales and Special Orders:

-The buyer has 20 days to pick up their ammunition once they have been notified of its arrival. If the buyer has not picked up their ammunition before 20 days, a daily storage fee of $5 per day, starting on the 21st day will apply to the buyer. On the 60th day Gearhead Guns LLC will consider the ammunition to be abandoned, and will charge a fee of 25% of the cost of the ammunition as a restocking fee, as well as all applicable storage fees, and refund the remaining amount back to the buyer. The ammunition then becomes property of Gearhead Guns LLC. Taxes, state fees, and storage fees are non-refundable.

Ammunition - Mail-In Transfers:

-The buyer has 20 days to pick up their ammunition once they have been notified of its arrival. If the buyer has not picked up their ammunition before 20 days, a daily storage fee of $5 per day, starting on the 21st day will apply to the buyer. On the 60th day Gearhead Guns LLC will consider the ammunition to be abandoned, where it then becomes property of Gearhead Guns LLC. Taxes, state fees, and storage fees are non-refundable

Gunsmithing:

-The customer has 20 days to pay the invoice and pick up their firearm(s) once the work has been completed. On the 21st day, a daily storage fee of $3 per handgun, and $5 per long gun will apply to the buyer, per day. After 60 days, if the invoice has not been paid and the firearm has not been picked up, Gearhead Guns LLC may choose to either assume ownership of the firearm(s) as  abandoned property, or turn the firearm over to our local Police Department.

-Gearhead Guns LLC does not perform custom work on triggers for liability reasons. We will only install aftermarket triggers on customer firearms if the customer agrees to assume any and all liability that may arise from the use or misuse of their firearm(s) after the trigger has been installed.

-100% of the initial quoted parts cost, and 25% of the labor cost ($40 minimum) is due at the time that the work order begins. The remaining balance is due at the time of pickup. The firearm(s) will not be released to the customer unless the balance is paid in full. 

-Firearms may only be released back to the individual that dropped them off. Valid Government issued photo identification is required for drop-off and pickup. 

-Upon pickup, the customer may be required to sign a statement that the work was performed to their specifications. If additional work must be completed, Gearhead Guns LLC will continue to service the firearm until the customer is satisfied, however additional parts and / or labor charges may apply.

-We accept cash, as all major credit and debit cards. We no longer accept checks or money orders.

-All credit card transactions carry a +3.5% fee

-If you aren't local to us, you are welcome to send your firearm(s) to us for servicing. When you send your firearm(s) to us, please make sure to review the terms and policies of your chosen shipping carrier. You can view the federal requirements on nonlicensees shipping firearms to FFL's here , and the federal requirements for nonlicensees to ship firearm(s) through the US Postal Service here

-The sender must include 100% of the value of the firearm in insurance. Upon return shipping, Gearhead Guns LLC will do the same. The cost of return shipping plus insurance will be added to the invoice, which must be paid in full prior to return shipping.

-Gearhead Guns LLC is NOT responsible for theft, loss or damage while the firearm(s) are in transit.

-Most in-stock items will ship within 72 hours via the US Postal Service

-Gearhead Guns LLC insures all packages at 100% of total order value

-Gearhead Guns LLC accepts returns on eligible items within 30 days of purchase, with proof of receipt. Please note that Gearhead Guns LLC does NOT accept returns on any ammunition purchases.

-Gearhead Guns LLC reserves the right to an inspection period not to exceed 7 days after the product(s) have been returned. Gearhead Guns LLC accepts does not accept returns for product(s) that have been damaged by the customer. If a product has been determined to have been damaged by the customer, the product(s) will be returned to the customer and no refund will be given.

-If Gearhead Guns LLC determines that the return is valid, the customer may choose to receive either a full refund, or a replacement product. If no replacement is available, a refund will be issued.

-Gift Certificates carry NO cash value, and cannot be redeemed for any cash, including cash back.

-Gift Certificates are non-transferrable. At the time that a Gift Certificate is issued, an internal database entry is created with the recipient's name attached to the certificate number. Gift Certificates can only be redeemed by the recipient.
